Can wedding photography and videography be Luxury and affordable? If you’re planning a wedding in London, one of the biggest challenges is finding a wedding photographer and videographer team that delivers beautiful work without blowing the budget. Many couples quickly discover that hiring separate suppliers for photography and videography can easily exceed £4,000–£6,000 Based in London, Filmmakers of London specialises in combined wedding photography and videography coverage with a natural, documentary-style approach. Their work blends cinematic wedding films with relaxed, authentic photography — ideal for couples who want emotional storytelling without overly staged moments. Whats your USP? A Big Advantage: One Team for Both Photo and VideoOne reason couples recommend using a combined team is consistency. When the photographer and videographer already work together, the day tends to run more smoothly. You don’t end up with photographers and videographers competing for space during the ceremony, interrupting moments, or pulling you in different directions all day. Everything feels much more relaxed and natural. Our style is very documentary-led too — less awkward posing, more genuine moments. Is £3000 a Good Budget for Wedding Photography and Videography?Honestly, in London, that’s the tricky part. Based on discussions from UK wedding communities, many couples now expect to spend around £3,000–£4,500 for combined photography and videography in the South of England. Several couples on Reddit noted that:
Budget matters, but style matters just as much. Filmmakers of London focuses on:

If you’re searching for timeless inspiration for a Hedsor House wedding, Hannah and Edward’s day is the perfect example of how to blend elegance, efficiency, and pure joy. As a team providing both wedding photography and videography at Hedsor House, this celebration felt especially meaningful to us—not only because of the incredible couple, but because Hedsor has been part of our journey since one of our very first weddings back in 2014.
A Perfect Autumn Morning at Hedsor House.
Hannah and Edward chose to begin their day at the iconic Hedsor House, one of the most sought-after luxury wedding venues in Buckinghamshire. With its grand architecture, sweeping staircases, and beautiful grounds, it provided the ideal setting for both bridal preparations and their reception later in the day. Despite being an October wedding in 2025, the weather was nothing short of perfection. The golden autumn light paired beautifully with the venue’s elegant interiors—ideal conditions for both photography and videography.
A Thoughtful First Look & Relaxed Timeline: One of the most memorable parts of the day was Hannah and Edward’s decision to have a first look at Hedsor House. This private moment allowed them to connect before the ceremony—and from a storytelling perspective, it created some of the most genuine, emotional imagery of the day.
They also chose to complete all of their family photos and couple portraits before leaving for the church. This meant that after the ceremony, they could fully immerse themselves in their drinks reception without being pulled away for formalities—a decision we always recommend for couples wanting a relaxed, guest-focused timeline.
A Classic Ceremony in Windsor: Following the morning at Hedsor, we made our way to St Edward the Confessor Church in Windsor for the ceremony. In a truly iconic moment, Hannah arrived with her father in a stunning vintage Jaguar E-Type—adding a touch of classic British elegance to the day.
After the ceremony, Edward took the wheel himself, driving the same car back to Hedsor House—an unforgettable detail that added personality and charm to their story.v
A Global Celebration Back at Hedsor HouseBack at Hedsor, the celebration continued with guests who had travelled from across the globe, including France and Bermuda. It was a truly international gathering, which brought an incredible energy and sense of togetherness to the day.
The drinks reception was elevated by a live string quartet, whose music filled the grounds and added to the already refined atmosphere. With the formal photos already complete, Hannah and Edward were able to fully enjoy this time—chatting, laughing, and soaking in every moment with their loved ones. Our Favourite Features of Hedsor HouseHaving worked at Hedsor House for many years, there are a few standout features that make it truly exceptional—not just as a venue, but from a photography and videography perspective: The Bridal Prep Suite Quite simply, one of the most stunning bridal preparation spaces we’ve ever worked in. It’s incredibly spacious, flooded with natural light, and beautifully styled—making it perfect for relaxed, elegant morning coverage. There’s room for everyone, and the light is consistently flattering throughout the day. The Expansive Grounds Hedsor’s grounds are vast, private, and immaculately kept. This gives couples a huge amount of variety for portraits without ever feeling rushed or restricted. It also allows us to create a real sense of scale and storytelling in both photo and film. Perfect for Drone Coverage Thanks to its secluded location and surrounding landscape, Hedsor House is ideal for drone wedding photography and videography. The aerial perspective adds a cinematic layer to your story, showcasing the grandeur of the venue and the beauty of the Buckinghamshire countryside. The Local Residents And of course, we can’t forget one of Hedsor’s most charming and unexpected features—the small herd of Highland cows that live on the estate. They’re always a talking point and, when they make an appearance, add a unique and characterful touch to the gallery.
Capturing the Evening Magic.
As the day transitioned into evening, Hedsor House once again proved why it’s one of the UK’s premier wedding venues. The interiors glowed warmly, and the energy shifted into celebration mode. One of the standout moments was the couple’s sparkler exit, which we captured across both photo and film. There’s something truly magical about a sparkler send-off—the movement, the light, and the emotion all come together to create a cinematic ending to an already incredible day. Why Hedsor House is Always a Favourite. Having photographed and filmed weddings at Hedsor House for over a decade, it remains one of our absolute favourite venues. From the versatility of its spaces to the seamless flow of a wedding day, it offers everything couples need for a luxury, stress-free experience. Emily & Pearce’s Wedding at The Gardens, Yalding – April 2025
Back in April 2025 we had the pleasure of capturing Emily & Pearce’s wedding at The Gardens in Yalding. It’s a venue we were really excited to shoot at, and it didn’t disappoint. The setting is incredible — huge, beautifully manicured gardens surrounded by pockets of wild woodland, which gives you so many different backdrops across the day. Emily started the morning in the venue’s bridal prep room, which is honestly one of the nicest spaces we’ve worked in for getting ready. It’s bright, spacious and filled with natural light, which makes a huge difference for photography. The atmosphere in the morning was really relaxed, with plenty of laughs between Emily and her bridesmaids while everything came together. The ceremony itself took place outside in the gardens, and Emily & Pearce couldn’t have asked for a better spring day. April weather can go either way, but the sun came out and the whole setting looked amazing. Outdoor ceremonies always have a slightly different feel — a bit more relaxed, a bit more connected to the surroundings — and the gardens made a beautiful backdrop while they exchanged their vows. One of the best things about this venue is the variety of locations around the grounds. After the ceremony we were able to wander through different parts of the gardens with Emily & Pearce for some wedding couple portraits. The endless choice for photo locations between the formal lawns, rose gardens, and the more natural woodland areas gives loads of variety in the pics without needing to leave the venue! Later in the evening we were treated to some really lovely golden hour light. Anyone who works in photography or film knows how special that last bit of sunlight can be, and it gave us the chance to step back out into the gardens for a few relaxed portraits. The soft light across the grounds created some really beautiful moments that you’ll see in the images below. We’ve also included Emily & Pearce’s highlights film so you can get a real feel for the atmosphere of the day. Video always adds another layer — the movement, the laughter, and the little moments between everything else that help tell the story of the wedding. Scroll down to watch the highlights film and see a selection of photos from their day at The Gardens in Yalding. It was a wonderful spring wedding, and an absolute pleasure to have been a part of. |
