When it comes to Jewish wedding videography experience is everything. From the Tisch and Bedeken to the Chuppah and the breaking of the Glass in the day, and not forgetting the Simcha dancing in the evening, we know there’s a lot that goes into a Jewish wedding day.
When covering Jewish weddings we recommend having a package with two videographers, especially if you are having over 100 guests. That is not to say that we cannot produce a beautiful video with just one videographer, but having a second allows us to cover so much more. |

We simply love the vibrance and pulse of the Jewish wedding day, although we are absolutely exhausted by the time we get home. For most of the day we keep our distance, giving you space to enjoy yourselves without feeling like you're on a film set.
We encourage you to soak in the solemnity of the ceremony and traditions, but once the Israeli dancing starts we roll up our sleeves and get involved getting those shots in the thick of the action. |

Do I Need Two Videographers for a Jewish Wedding?
It's one of the questions we're asked most often as a Jewish wedding videographer in London.
The short answer? No.
One experienced videographer can absolutely create a beautiful, cinematic wedding film.
The caveat is this: what are your priorities?
If your main goal is a wedding film that captures all the important moments, the people closest to you and tells the story of your day beautifully, then one videographer is more than enough.
At Filmmakers of London, we've filmed over 60 Jewish weddings across London and the UK, so we've seen first-hand what works with both one and two-videographer teams.
What does one videographer cover? With one videographer, we'll still capture everything you'd expect:
That's the important distinction.
Rather than trying to film absolutely everything happening everywhere at once, we're focused on telling the story of your day in the best possible way.
For the ceremony, speeches and first dance, we also use two cameras. One is operated by us while the other records from a fixed position, giving us multiple angles to edit between. It means we can stay focused on what's happening rather than constantly swinging the camera around trying to catch every reaction.
So why choose two videographers?
A second videographer doesn't necessarily change the story of your wedding film.
What it does is add another layer.
While one of us is filming the main events, the other can capture all the little moments that make your wedding feel like your wedding.
Guests arriving.
Friends chatting during the canapé reception.
Parents' reactions during the ceremony.
Children running around.
Extra moments on the dance floor.
The hugs, laughter and conversations that you might not even realise happened until you watch your film back years later.
Those moments add atmosphere and depth.
When is a second videographer really worth having?
There are a couple of parts of a Jewish wedding where having two videographers makes a noticeable difference.
Bridal and groom preparations
If you're both getting ready at the same venue or hotel, one videographer can split their time between you.
The only compromise is the time spent walking between rooms. During those few minutes, we're naturally not with either of you.
With two videographers, one stays with each of you throughout the morning, so nothing gets missed.
Simcha dancing
This is probably where two videographers make the biggest difference.
During the Simcha, the men's and women's dancing often happens separately, with brilliant moments unfolding on both sides at the same time.
One videographer can absolutely move between them—we've done it plenty of times—but every time we cross the dance floor there's always the chance of missing a fantastic moment.
With two videographers, one stays with the men while the other stays with the women, so both sides of the celebration are covered continuously.
So, do you need two videographers?
For most weddings, no.
One experienced Jewish wedding videographer can create an incredible wedding film that captures everything you'll want to remember.
If, however, your priority is capturing more guest reactions, more candid moments and more of the atmosphere throughout the day, then a second videographer is a worthwhile investment.
Having filmed over 60 Jewish weddings, we'll always recommend what genuinely suits your day rather than upselling you on something you don't need.
Whether you choose one videographer or two, our aim is exactly the same—to create a wedding film that brings you straight back to how your day felt every time you press play.
