London Wedding Photographer

Simply. Capturing. Great. Moments. Is what wedding photography is all about to us.

About me...

Hi, I’m Chris, Photographer & Director of Filmmakers of London. As our name suggests we make films and truly love doing so, but my first passion was photography. Since I was a child I dreamt of being a wildlife photographer, but the only wildlife I photograph these days is my 2-year-old daughter when she goes a bit feral before nap time.

Choosing a wedding photographer can seem daunting; there’s a lot of jargon and terminology thrown around, with photographers describing their style as either repertoire or fine art, traditional or documentary.  I try not to label my style, but if you made me, really twisted my arm, I would simply like to think I am fun and relaxed. I’m not a fan of too much posing, or overly staged shots but at the same time the odd set up shot can be fun given the right time and place.  I’m certainly not what you would call a catalogue photographer, making you stare into the distance whilst taking 10 minutes over one shot.  I can't stand awkward or cringeworthy poses, where you can just tell the couple did not feel at all comfortable taking the photo but were just doing what they were told. What is cringeworthy to one couple, however is fun and silly to another. It’s all about finding the right tone with each couple.  Your wedding photos will look great if you're having fun and are relaxed, hence my style!

How I work on your day...

For the most part of your day I will leave you in peace, to enjoy your day whilst I try my best to blend into the background. I can be as candid and natural as you like; if you don’t want to hear a peep out of me and simply want me to document your day in my style then that’s great. If on the other hand you would like me to also organise a confetti shot along with some group photos and to take you a for a quick photo shoot just the two of you then that's even better. That though, is not where my work ends.

Wedding photography isn’t about ticking boxes and having a set list of images that will be looked at once, it's about re-living the joy, love and excitement that ran throughout your day. From start to finish on your wedding day I will always be looking not only to capture all of the little details but all of the little moments too. I personally enjoy a little staging of shots here and there, for example looking to hang your wedding dress (with permission of course) to get that beautiful shot of it before it's put on, or even getting a couple of fun walking shots with the groomsmen before the ceremony, but predominantly at your wedding day I will be simply capturing great moments.

I love looking back through weddings I’ve shot, seeing all the laughter and the tears and all the amazing little moments.  If you are not sure what style it is you want, then please get in touch and we can have a chat and I can take you through my style and approach to a wedding day and we can go from there. At the end of the day though, please have a look at some of the pictures we’ve taken below and if you like them, then please get in touch.
